Born in Chicago, and raised in Seoul, Michelle views fashion as an artistic medium to help explore and discover her identity and belonging in the world. The biggest inspiration for her has always been her Korean cultural heritage, which she embraces in her collections through color sensibility, modern-traditional silhouettes, textile manipulations, and many more.

Michelle has received multiple scholarships including the SAIC Merit Fashion Award during her studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Upon her graduation in May 2022, she was selected as a Fashion Future Graduate 22 by the CFDA. Now she has a designer profile on Runway 360, which can be viewed HERE. After her graduation, she was selected as a finalist for the 15th Supima Design Competition and had her debut on the NYFW runway in September 2022.
